Prague Airport to City Center: All Your Options in 2026

·

Arriving in the “City of a Hundred Spires” is exciting, but first you have to get out of the airport. Here are all the up-to-date options for getting from Prague Airport to the city center in 2026, whether you want to save money or arrive as comfortably as possible.

Prague Václav Havel Airport, the starting point for getting to the city center

1. Public transportation: the cheapest option

It works very well. Prague has an integrated transportation network (PID) covering the metro, trams, buses and even ferries.

Trolleybus 59 + Metro Line A (green)

The standard route. Trolleybus 59 (which replaced the old bus 119) is spacious and electric.

  • Route: Airport → Nádraží Veleslavín station (Metro A).
  • Frequency: every 3–10 minutes.
  • Total time to the center: 35–45 minutes.
  • Price: 50 CZK (about €2), valid for 90 minutes, including the transfer to the metro.

Bus 100 + Metro Line B (yellow)

A good choice if you’re staying near stations like Můstek (Line B side) or Florenc.

  • Route: Airport → Zličín station (Metro B).
  • Price: 50 CZK (about €2), valid for 90 minutes, transfer included.

Night bus 910

If you land in the middle of the night (midnight to 4:00 a.m.), this bus takes you straight to central stops like I.P. Pavlova.

  • Frequency: every 30 minutes.
  • Price: 50 CZK, valid for 90 minutes.

2. Airport Express (AE): the direct bus

If you’d rather not change lines with heavy luggage, the Airport Express runs straight from the airport to Prague Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží).

  • Hours: roughly 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Frequency: every 30 minutes.
  • Price: 200 CZK (about €8), paid to the driver; cards accepted.
  • Note: regular public transportation tickets aren’t valid on this bus.

3. Taxis and ride-hailing apps (Uber/Bolt)

The sector is tightly regulated in Prague to prevent taxi scams, so today it’s a fairly safe option.

Uber (the airport’s official partner)

You can order one from the kiosks in the terminal or directly in the app.

  • Estimated price: 500–750 CZK (€20–30), depending on demand.
  • Advantage: the price is fixed before you get in.

Bolt

Usually a bit cheaper than Uber, although it doesn’t have an official pickup zone right outside arrivals, so you’ll walk a couple of minutes to the pickup point.

  • Estimated price: 450–650 CZK (€18–26).

Private airport transfer

The best option if you’re traveling as a group or want someone waiting for you with a name sign. You can book it in advance and avoid any surprises when you land.
